Hey, I’m Jimmy — the person behind FuelnFitHub.
I started this site because I got tired of spending hours researching supplements and kitchen gear, only to end up with products that didn’t work or fell apart after two weeks. The supplement industry runs on hype. Half the “reviews” online are paid affiliates copying each other’s marketing copy. The other half are forum threads with one guy yelling about creatine.
FuelnFitHub exists to cut through that noise — with one rule: every claim has to be backed by either peer-reviewed research or hands-on testing. If neither, it doesn’t go on the site.
What FuelnFitHub Is About
This site covers four areas — all aimed at the lifter or gym-goer who wants real answers, not vague generalizations:
- Supplements — vitamin D, creatine, whey protein, pre-workout, electrolytes. What the evidence actually says, what to take, what’s marketing fluff.
- Fitness — training principles that work: progressive overload, volume, recovery. Less broscience, more data.
- Health — nutrition, hydration, and the foundational habits that make everything else work.
- Tools — meal prep containers, gym gear, kitchen equipment that survives daily use.
How I Review Products and Studies
Every guide on this site follows the same process:
- Research first. I pull recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses from PubMed and cite them inline — with PMIDs and DOIs you can verify yourself. No hand-waving “studies show…” claims.
- Ingredient-level analysis. For supplements, I check actual dose vs. studied effective dose. Most products under-dose by 50% or more. Those don’t make the recommended list.
- Real-world friction. For gear, I look at durability complaints in long-term reviews, not just the day-one ratings.
- Honest verdicts. If a popular product doesn’t hold up, the article says so — even when there’s an affiliate commission to lose.
Who I’m Writing For
If you’re three months into lifting and overwhelmed by supplement marketing, this site is for you. If you’ve been training for years but want to dial in your nutrition, this site is for you. If you just want to stop wasting money on stuff that doesn’t deliver, this site is definitely for you.
I’m not a doctor, a registered dietitian, or a certified trainer — and I won’t pretend to be. What I am is a person who reads the studies and tests the products before recommending them. For anything medical, talk to a real professional.
A Note on Affiliate Links
FuelnFitHub is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you buy a recommended product through a link on this site, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That keeps the lights on and lets me keep writing in-depth, evidence-based guides instead of churning out 800-word affiliate filler.
What it doesn’t do: change which products I recommend. I link to the best product I’d actually buy, not the one with the highest commission rate.
